Ti' Punch gets her first haul out (at least our first).  Check out those propellers - no wonder we were so slow!!  Good news - no hull damage from the lightning strike!

Ka-Boom!

So we had an unfortunate event that may turn out to be a blessing in disguise...  About 3 weeks ago, the night before we were to leave on a one week family vacation on the boat, a small thunderstorm moved through our area.  I was on the laptop while sitting on the couch, facing the boat at the dock in our backyard.  All of a sudden we heard this huge BOOM and wouldn't you know...the boat got hit by lightning!

Bad news...no vacation.  Good news... we get a whole bunch of new equipment, most of which looks like it will be covered by insurance.  So I'll have quite a few items to cross off my preparation list and we'll feel that much closer to being able to go.

And hopefully we have our lightning strike odds covered now so that we don't have to worry about that again for a long time (I know, wishful thinking?!)
